The ideal computer-based video editing system would be simple, reliable, and powerful.
Simple - meaning that it is intuitive to operate - it won’t get in the way of the creative process.
Reliable - meaning that it can handle projects of varying complexity without corruption or instability.
Powerful - meaning that it can play multiple tracks of native long GOP video (like HDV and XDCAM HD) in real time without transcoding, with real time effects and accelerated export, in both SD and HD, compressed or uncompressed, 8-bit or 10-bit.. In other words, it works at the highest quality, and won’t slow you down.
We present the Adobe/Matrox combination:
Adobe CS3 Production Premium is the popular bundle of world class video/print/graphics production tools that includes Premiere Pro CS3, After Effects Pro CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended, Illustrator CS3, EncoreDVD CS3, Flash Pro CS3, Soundbooth, On Location, and Ultra.
Matrox add-in cards give the system a huge editing power boost; along with analog and digital inputs and outputs, real time effects, accelerated export, and the addition of professional format support to the Adobe suite, including all DVCPRO and XDCAM formats.
Although Final Cut Pro on a Mac is a popular system, it lacks the power, simplicity, reliability, and value of the Adobe/Matrox combination. We invite you to see for yourself by arranging a demonstration at our facility in Portland.
